BIO 470 - Coastal Marine Habitats The structure and function of coastal marine habitats including rocky intertidal areas, sandy beaches, tidal and mud flats, estuaries, salt marshes, soft bottom areas and plankton will be examined. The course will review the physical regime, flora and fauna of these environments.
Prerequisites: BIO 200 or BIO 280 or BIO 301 (with Instructor’s permission) 3 hours lecture, 3 hours laboratory a week 1 semester 4 credits. Spring 2013 Lab fee-$60
