CSED 630 - Educational Research and Analysis This course focuses on the role of the educational leader in designing school-based research as a means of achieving effective school improvement and professional development. To do that, the course examines the principles and methods of educational research. Topics covered include correlational, experimental and quasi-experimental methods, survey design, construct validity, basic statistics and research ethics. Emphasis is placed on both the design and implementation of educational research as well as on interpreting the research of others and being a good consumer of research. The course culminates in each student preparing a research proposal.
