BUS 232 - Labor Relations A study of organized labor and its impact on the firm’s management and business strategy. Active student participation is expected in the discussion of the collective bargaining process and the issues arising from the creation and administration of the collective bargaining agreement. The rights of management in directing the workforce versus the rights of employees as expressed in the contract are explored. Selected cases involving such issues as technological change, job assignments, wage structure, grievance procedure, production standards, and the role of the arbitrator will be utilized.
Prerequisite: BUS 230 /HA 230 1 semester 3 credits.
