HIS 363 - Immigration And Identity: The Question Of Race And Ethnicity In American Life A historical and contemporary examination of how immigration, race and ethnicity have helped shaped both American national identity and personal identity. Students will explore the political, social and economic aspects of the four main waves of immigration with emphasis on how minority populations adapted to American culture, while at the same time, changing American culture in the process.
Prerequisite: HIS 172 or departmental permission 1 semester 3 credits.
