NU 640 - Instructional Strategies and Evaluation in Nursing Education The emphasis of this course is on teaching and learning theories and strategies. The student is exposed to a variety of modalities utilized in teaching both theory-based and clinical courses. Methods of educational measurement and evaluation are discussed. Content includes measurement and evaluation modalities, test construction, clinical evaluation and the relationship between measurement and educational decision-making. Factors that influence instruction and evaluation are discussed. Legal and ethical issues are explored.
Prerequisite: NU 635 Three hours per week one semester. 3 credits
