CSED 620 - Educational Leadership and Special Education Federal law demands that schools provide all students with disabilities a free and appropriate education in the least restrictive environment. This course examines the myriad of responsibilities that a school leader has in regard to special education. The candidate will examine special education law, special education settings, Individual Education Plans (IEP), the Committee for Special Education, inclusive education, discipline within special education, overrepresentation of minority students receiving services, collaboration, and working with parents and community.
3 credits. 10 hours of administrative fieldwork in special education are required.
