HA 470 - Telehealth


Telehealth is defined as “the use of electronic information and telecommunications technologies to support long-distance clinical health care, patient and professional health-related education, public health and health administration. The Telehealth Administration course will provide students with a foundational understanding of telehealth as an innovative health care tool. By completing this course, students will learn about important historical milestones in telehealth delivery, ethical and legal considerations in the provision of telehealth health care services, relevant reimbursement regulations, and examples of best practices in the evolving landscape of the provision of telehealth services. The course will highlight key components of the chief telehealth modalities including: visual visits; chat-based interactions; remote patient monitoring and technology enabled modalities.
