BUS 175 - Sports Management An introduction to the managerial and administrative components of the sports industry. Students will acquire a basic understanding of the skills required to plan, organize, supervise and evaluate a sporting event. Class discussions and case studies will include budgeting, marketing, strategic planning, legal considerations, ethics and techniques of personnel, facilities and event management. Included also are industry trends and career opportunities.
