NU 201 - Way of Being
This course introduces concepts of nursing practice needed to complete St. Joseph’s University nursing program. Inclusion of Way of Being and concepts of Ways of Knowing will provide a framework for future courses. Focus will be on the role and responsibilities of the professional nurse, safe nursing practice, cultural sensitivity, nursing history and nursing theorists, and dosage calculations. An introduction to fundamental computer skills needed for using St. Joseph’s learning platform, library research data bases, email software, and APA guidelines will be explored.
