CHE 302 - Thermodynamics and Chemical Kinetics CHE-351
Introduction to the laws of thermodynamics that develops the traditional macroscopic approach for understanding real and ideal systems in equilibrium in parallel with a survey of the microscopic theory of thermodynamics. Topics include real and ideal gases, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd laws of thermodynamics, phase transitions, real and ideal mixtures and chemical equilibrium. An introduction to chemical kinetics by studying rate equations and mechanisms is also provided.
