SOC 247 - Hispanic Culture and Community An examination of the social development and functioning of the Hispanic community. Pertinent sociological themes for discussion include immigration, religion, politics, cultural development, the media, and the family. Special emphasis will be given to the Hispanic communities of the New York area.
Prerequisite: SOC 100 or SOC 136 1 semester 3 credits. Spring
