SPC 430 - Critical Issues in Communication Studies


A seminar in which students identify, research, discuss, and evaluate contemporary issues that are of critical importance in the field of communication studies. Students will develop research projects, and share insights on a broad range of topics concerning oral, dramatic, and mass-mediated communication issues that may include: censorship, freedom of speech, propaganda, government regulation, privacy rights, and the representation of diverse cultures in the media and on stage.
