MAT 300 - Mathematical Methods in Physics PHY 300
An introduction to several of the mathematical techniques needed to develop a full understanding of physics; infinite series and power series, complex numbers, multivariable calculus, vector algebra, vector calculus and linear algebra. In addition, this course provides an introduction to ordinary differential equations and an introduction to functions of a complex variable. Special emphasis on the applications of these methods to physical, chemical, and biological problems whenever possible.
