GMSC 501 - Managament Component
This Managerial Enhancement Component course is designed to provide Graduate Management Studies (GMS) students with foundational knowledge and opportunities to apply principles associated with MGT 520 Organizational Theory and Design. Topics for the course include an overview of organizational structures and their role in decision-making associated with managerial effectiveness nationally and globally. Key topics such as planning, organizing, staffing, leading, and controlling in diverse environments are included. Students will review the role of mission statements and organizational objectives to understand how they relate to organizational profits. Other topics such as culture and social responsibility are addressed given their importance to organizational functioning in increasingly diverse business environments
While this online course carries graduate credit, it does not apply to the coursework and credits required for GMS degrees or Certificates for which MGT 520 is required. Pass/No Credit (with a C or better required).
