SW 653 - Social Work Practice with Communities

This course will cover mezzo and macro social work practice with communities. The course will also cover community building and community organizing strategies and students will be able to designed a community needs assessment. The role of human service systems in social work with communities will be explored at length. Specific attention will be given to underserved communities, client empowerment and cross-discipline coalition building.
