CSA 600 - Basic Behavior Analysis

Behavior analysis is comprised of three main branches: behaviorism or the theory of behavior, applied behavior analysis, and the experimental analysis of behavior. This course focuses on the third branch. Students will learn the basic concepts and principles of behavior and learning theory by examining the basic research from Pavlov and Skinner to contemporary researchers. The foundational concepts of respondent and operant conditioning, reinforcement, punishment, extinction, shaping, motivating operations, and matching law among others will be discussed using seminal and contemporary research studies.
