REC 283 - Current Issues in Therapeutic Recreation This course is designed to keep students abreast of all the current issues related to the field of Therapeutic Recreation. The purpose of this course is to help students develop an understanding and appreciation of the major trends, issues, and events impacting the profession of Therapeutic Recreation. The class will also explore trends and issues in health care delivery systems and how these trends relate to the provision of Therapeutic Recreation services. This course will also cover current research and concerns for the student preparing to enter the field and who will take the certification exam.
