ART 185 - Art as Communication An introduction to the fine and functional arts. Analysis of how the painter, sculptor and architect use art elements and materials as a means of expression and communication. Discussion of the relationship of art to human needs and the role of art in daily life: the community, school, home and religion. Studio projects and illustrated lectures.
This course is applicable to the liberal arts requirements of the curriculum. 1 semester 3 credits. Fall and Spring Fee $70
