BIO 130 - Introduction to Immunology The objective of this course is to introduce students to the immune system and to discuss the role of the defense mechanism in a human body. It covers the structure and function of the immune system, and details how the immune system can be up-regulated for vaccination against infectious agents, and down-regulated to treat autoimmune diseases. AIDS, immunotherapy, tumor and transplantation immunology will also be discussed.
Note: A student may not take BIO 130 and BIO 131 1 semester 3 credits. Spring
