COM 115 - Exploring the Internet Discover how the Internet and the World Wide Web can be used to locate, access and retrieve information from international library resources and databases. This course includes historical background, network etiquette and ethics, as well as the skills for effectively and responsibly interacting with the Internet. Topics such as Web 2.0 tools, email, search engines, URLs, and the hypertext markup language (HTML) will be explored in a laboratory environment. The concepts will be applied to the design of a web page.
Prerequisite: none 1 semester 1 credit.
