POL 353 - American Political Theory A survey of American political thought from the nation’s founding to the present era. Emphasis will paid to defining moments in American political history, such as the Revolution, the Constitutional Founding, the Civil War, the Industrial Revolution, the Great Depression and the Civil Rights Movement. These debates will be revisited, with mainstream and radical positions discussed.
Prerequisite: POL 102 or POL 103 or POL 203 or POL 225 3 credits Fall
