SPN 310 - Field Experience in Bilingual and Second Language Education An introduction to current theory and practice in the field of second language and bilingual education. Topics include: theories of second language acquisition, approaches to communicative language teaching, special needs of second language students, and language immersion programs. Students will be placed in a bilingual, an English as a second language, or a Spanish language classroom. Open to students who have completed two courses above SPN 202 . Permission of the department is also required.
2 hours fieldwork 1 semester 3 credits. Spring
