Note(s):

Every student must take at least one non-computer mathematics course.

Area of Concentration for Child Study Majors:

30 credits in mathematics in which an average grade of C must be maintained.

Required Courses:

MAT 205 - Calculus and Analytic Geometry I 4 credits.
MAT 206 - Calculus and Analytic Geometry II 4 credits.
MAT 354 - Modern Algebra 3 credits.
MAT 356 - Linear Algebra 3 credits.
MAT 362 - Modern Geometry 3 credits. or
MAT 364 - Topology 3 credits.

Recommended

Recommended for those who intend to continue Mathematics on the graduate level:

MAT 207 - Calculus and Analytic Geometry III 4 credits.
MAT 208 - Advanced Calculus 4 credits.

Note(s):

MAT 105 , MAT 106 , MAT 113 , and 200 may not be offered towards the 30 required credits.

COM 150 or COM 152 may be offered. MAT 204 is strongly recommended.
