Global Environment of Business Concentration (SJC Brooklyn and SJC Long Island)

Concentrations

Students in the Business Administration and Marketing Department may choose to have a concentration in either Finance, International Business or Information Systems. If this option is chosen, the student must take specific electives as follows:

Concentration in Global Environment of Business:

• BUS 275 - Business in a Global Environment 3 credits. *

•  

• BUS 326 - International Finance 3 credits. or
• BUS 375 - Global Sourcing 3 credits.
• Two semesters of the same modern language with a grade of B or better

•  

• ECO 127 - Comparative Economic Systems 3 credits. or
• ECO 161 - International Economic Problems 3 credits

Plus two courses from the following

(Each course from a different department)

Or any course in HIS/POL/SOC which satisfies the Global Perspective Common Learning Area.

• HIS 152 - Contemporary International Problems 3 credits
• HIS 225 - The Making of the Modern Middle East 3 credits.
• HIS 220 - East Asia 3 credits.
• HIS 224 - South and Southeast Asia 3 credits.
• HIS 250 - Latin America 3 credits.
• HIS 255 - A History of Southern Africa 3 credits.
• POL 205 - Comparative Governments 3 credits
• POL 215 - International Relations, Law and Organization 3 credits
• SOC 250 - Change in Developing Countries 3 credits.
