Mathematics Education Advanced Certificate(SJC Long Island and SJC Online)

The advanced certificate in mathematics education is intended to provide middle and high school teachers with skills and background knowledge to enhance their mathematics classroom teaching. Candidates for program completion will have a better understanding of the classes they teach, gain teaching ideas and lesson plans, and communicate effectively and work collaboratively within the context of a global society. Fifteen credits are required to complete this certificate. This certificate program is fully online.

Certificate students can take five of any of the following courses. Note that MAT 510  and MAT 566  may be taken multiple times as they are offered with different topics.
