All students are required to complete 36 credits. A minimum departmental index of of C is required. A maximum of 15 credits may be transferred toward the major.

• SOC 100 - Introductory Sociology 3 credits
• SOC 212 - Elements of Social Science Research (SJC Long Island (Only) 3 credits.
• SOC 347 - Sociological Theory 3 credits.
• SOC 348 - Research Methods 3 credits.
• SOC 350 - Applied Statistics( SJC Long Island Only) 3 credits.
• SOC 400 - Seminar in Sociology 3 credits.
