Area of Concentration for the Child Study Major:

30 credits above SPN 151 . Students declaring their area of concentration in Spanish in Fall 2020 or later are allowed to count SPN 152 toward the 10 courses.

Required Courses: 9 Credits

SPN 220 - Advanced Grammar for Heritage Speakers 3 credits. or
SPN 221 - Advanced Grammar 3 credits.
SPN 222 - Advanced Composition and Conversation 3 credits.
SPN 233 - Civilization and Culture of Spain 3 credits. or

Note(s):

Students must maintain a 2.7 average in all University Spanish courses applied toward the concentration. Students must complete at least 15 credits toward the Spanish concentration at St. Joseph’s. The remaining 21 credits in electives toward the area of concentration must be taken at St. Joseph’s University and will be chosen with the advice of the department.
