Through academic critical inquiry in the Educational Leadership Program, candidates will cultivate the competencies and attitudes essential for driving meaningful change. Program participants will develop leadership skills to advance educational environments, become champions for diversity and uphold the dignity of all individuals. Central to their leadership lies a conscientious awareness that allows individuals to identify barriers hindering full inclusion and participation. Through research and discussion, participants will cultivate an unwavering commitment to dismantling these barriers.
This program is supported by the Child Study and Education Departments on both campuses. This program will be delivered through a hybrid synchronous modality.
Graduates of this program have a strong foundation for taking the NYS SBL and SDL certification examinations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum undergraduate overall GPA 3.0
- Initial teaching certification
- Minimum of verified 3 years full time teaching in an accredited N(3K)-12 setting is required.
