Communication and Media Studies Minor (SJNY Long Island)

The minor in “Communication & Media Studies” requires students to complete eighteen credits of coursework. All students in the minor begin with six credits of required foundational coursework relevant to more advanced required coursework, for which they select four more courses from a list of options. This list includes the option to select a course not included in the list; if selected, this course may come from within the Communication Studies Department or from another area, as long as the course directly relates to the minor and is approved by the Communication Studies Department chairperson. This minor is open to all students and is recommended for this with a personal or professional interest in learning more about communication and media studies.
