American Studies is an interdisciplinary area of concentration for Child Study majors. It is an exploration from perspectives in the arts, humanities, and social sciences, of diverse ideas and experiences that have contributed to the ongoing development of American intellectual, cultural, and political life. Students pursuing this concentration should meet with the Coordinator of American Studies to discuss specific requirements.
