Required Courses for Certificate: 18 Credits

• SOC 100 - Introductory Sociology 3 credits or
• SOC 136 - Social Problems 3 credits

• SOC 212 - Elements of Social Science Research 3 credits
• SOC 230 - Social Organizations 3 credits
• SOC 347 - Sociological Theory 3 credits.

• SOC 348 - Research Methods 3 credits. or
• POL 348 - Research Methods 3 credits

• SOC 350 - Applied Statistics 3 credits. (or equivalent)

An Approved Field Experience: 3 Credits

• SOC 241 - Experience In Social Work 3 credits. or
• SOC 242 - Field Experience In Applied Sociology 3 credits

Elective Sociology Courses: 6 Credits

• Two additional courses in Sociology
  (May not include SOC 232 )
