NU 630 - Foundations of Nursing Education This course will explore the historical issues and trends leading to the need for competency-based nursing education curricula. The advanced practice role of nurse educator in academia and in service-based organizations will be examined. Students will explore issues related to the adult learner, learning styles and the diversity of practice areas. Legal, regulatory and ethical issues in nursing education will be discussed.
Prerequisites: NU 500 , NU 510 Three hours per week one semester. 3 credits
