Nursing Education Advanced Certificate (SJNY Online)

The advanced certificate is designed to meet the needs of registered nurses who wish to pursue further learning and to advance quality nursing education. The 12 credit program prepares the student teach in nursing programs at the LPN, associates, bachelor’s and mater’s levels, and in hospitals and health care facilities. 

The post-masters certificate in nursing education program is open to qualified nurses who have a master’s degree in nursing and who want to become nurse educators.It is designed to meet the needs of registered nurses who wish to pursue further learning and to advance quality nursing education. The 12 credit program prepares the student to teach in nursing programs at the LPN, associate, bachelor’s and master’s levels, and in hospitals and health care facilities. The curriculum includes specialty coursework in nursing education, including curriculum development and teaching, learning and evaluation strategies. The program is ideal for busy working nursing professionals who want to earn teaching credentials, but who do not have the time to attend onsite classes.
